Highlights

• 71st Annual Ballad Town Quartet Competition

Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 25

Next weekend TVHM will host the 71st Annual Ballad Town Quartet Competition in Forest Grove.  Tickets can be ordered online at http://www.balladtownusa.com.

• TVHM moving to Forest Grove

After spending several months looking for a more inviting rehearsal space, the Board has decided to move to a new rehearsal venue in Forest Grove.  Our tentative move date is late April.  We will be in nicely finished space on the 2nd floor of the Pamplin Media Group  News-Times building.  For additional information on our move, and to see pictures of our new space click here.

• TVHM songs from the Clark Lumber Benefit concert available online

Tuesday evening February 28th, the Tualatin Valley Harmony Masters Chorus, the Portland Bridge Town Sound Chorus, and the Salem SenateAires Chorus, along with a number of Quartets, performed at a Benefit Concert in Tigard, OR for Clark Lumber and True Value Hardware (a Tualatin business). They were completely destroyed by fire July 31st.

The TVHM Chorus sang six songs and the Tualatones quartet did a 3 song set.  To listen to samples of these songs click here.

• Barbershop in the Park

Saturday, July 15

A fun social event is being planned for July 15th at Rogers Park in Forest Grove.  We will be hosting a picnic party that will include the entire local Barbershop (and Sweet Adelines) community & their friends/ families!  For more information click here.

• TVHM Looking for a new rehearsal venue

After many years at the Elk's lodge we are beginning to think about a new rehearsal venue.  If you know of a location that might work for us, please send it to president@tualatinvalley.com and secretary@tualatinvalley.com.

• Singing Valentines

Tuesday February 14

The Tualatin Valley Harmony Masters will again be offering Singing Valentines.  This is a great way to surprise your special someone with a unique gift (and support TVHM at the same time - truly a win-win opportunity).  Click here for details and to place your order.

• TVHM will be singing at the Clark Lumber and Hardware Employee Benefit concert

Tuesday, February 28 at 7 pm

Tualatin Valley Harmony Masters Chorus, the Portland Bridge Town Sound Chorus, and the Salem SenateAires Chorus, along with a number of Quartets, will be part of a Benefit Performance in Tigard, OR for Clark Lumber and True Value Hardware (a Tualatin business). A Word from Our President

Our chapter has several events in the next few months that may be of interest to you:

• TVHM will be singing at the Alzheimer’s Sing Here Now Choir concert

Saturday, January 7 at 2 pm

This event was rescheduled from December 17.

TVHM will be singing with the Sing Here Now choir at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Beaverton.  Two of our members also sing with the Sing Here Now choir.  This would be a great opportunity for you to hear the TVHM chorus and one of our Quartets and to Support the local Alzheimer’s community.
