Gregory Bryan just completed the Advanced Vocals: Barbershop Harmony class at Journey Theater Arts Group.  Last night (June 9) was the "Showcase" for the spring classes.  Below are several photos of the students performing and 2 pages from the Program.  The class was taught by Marsha Kelly with Chris Gable serving as Teaching Assistant.  The students did a great job and received a huge ovation at the conclusion of their performance.  There may be some prospects here for the TVHM and Pride of Portland choruses.  Maybe they will offer the class again next year.

At the June 13, 2016 Board of Directors Meeting, the Board adopted some minor revisions to the previously announced "Chapter Membership Commitment" and renamed the document the "Chorus Membership Commitment".  The purpose of the revisions was to clarify that the Membership Commitment applies specifically to the Harmony Masters Chorus.  One can still be a member of the Tualatin Valley Chapter and not perform with the Chorus.

The intention of the document is to help everyone understand what is expected of members in order to be allowed to perform with the chorus.  You can
view the document by clicking here.  Chapter Members can also view it by logging in to the TVHM website and clicking on Documents.

Yesterday, on Father's Day, one of the most amazingly loving and kind fathers, wonderful husband, big-hearted man, beekeeper, fisherman, true friend, role model, servant of Jesus, and much more, Dave Paul Muralt left this world for a far better place.  Our hearts are greatly saddened beyond what words can describe.  We find peace in knowing that he is with Jesus.

Dave joined the Tualatin Valley chapter in 1993 and had a total of 25 years as a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS).  In addition to singing with the Harmony Masters chorus, Dave sang with the Tualatones Quartet.  Over the years, he was responsible for bringing 31 new members into the BHS.

On June 15th it was announced that Dave had been awarded Barbershopper of the Month for May.  You can read the announcement here.

Comments after his passing included:

Our buddy Dave Muralt has passed into Heaven and is hanging out with God.
After a long battle with cancer he won. No more sickness.
Please join me in praying for his wife Terri and family.

Couldn't have happened to a better man.....he is with Dale Crouch and others who have gone before!!  The heavenly choir just got a great bass and a wonderful friend!!
God bless you all!!

Heaven just got a wonderful Bass. He will be missed dearly.
God Bless
